We all know that you can add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar in both Excel and Access 2007.
This will activate a dialog box that allows you to select commands to add to the Quick Access Toolbar.

I was perusing all the commands that are “Not in the Ribbon” when I found two of the most useless commands I can think of.
The ‘Contact Us…’ command and the Customize ‘Quick Access Toolbar’ Command.

The ‘Contact Us’ command brings up this dialog box.

Oh thank god! I was worried that I would never be able to call up Microsoft’s Support information with a click of a mouse. I just can’t wait to be “subject to prices, terms and conditions”.
Too bad you can’t customize this to put in phone numbers for useful services like Pizza Hut or the Urologist.
The ‘Quick Access Toolbar’ command brings up this dialog box.

That’s right. This genius command brings up the same dialog box you used to add it. Isn’t this a circular reference?
I know I’ll sleep better knowing I have quick access to the quick access dialog box via the quick access toolbar.
Now that you’ve wasted 2 minutes of your life reading this, get back to work.

Hi!
I wanted some opinions from Access gurus!
I am an accountant and have good excel skills. Now I am thinking of learning Access!
Would it useful in Accounting to have Access knowledge? How deep should I go? Or it is really the IT people who should learn it?
Thanks!
Why isn’t it called a QET in Excel?

Is it because its not quick, and not a toolbar?
(Girls use Ribbons, real men use ToolBars)
Okay, I submit, BSET (T for thing).
Off topic Mike, but do you have a separate RSS feed for comments? Simon does! So does Dick! So does Ken! You don’t want to be left behind.
Ed Ferrero,
Wonderful signature line.
I am going to use (steal) it.
