Pig in a Blanket

On this blog, Saturday is Bacon recipe day. So no Excel tips and tricks today. Today we learn about bacon.
.

The new piglet arrived on Tuesday with much fanfare and drama.  Everyone agrees that she’s beautiful.  And she is, no doubt.  But I know the truth.  She’ll be walking around like she owns the place in no time – giving me orders for juice and whatnot .

Nevertheless, in honor of the new arrival, today’s recipe is Pig in a Blanket.   Here’s what you’ll need:
.

24 cocktail sausages
8 slices of  bacon
.

Preheat the oven to 375 degees.
Using the back of a knife stretch each bacon slice then cut into 3 equal pieces.
Tightly wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon.
Lay side by side on a baking tray.
Cook in the preheated oven for 30 mins or until crisp and golden.
.

Notes:  Tying a few of these Pigs in a Blanket to the mobile above the baby’s crib will give the nursery a nice bacony smell.

Congratulations. Children are a heritage from the Lord. Enjoy them, before you know it (trust me on this) they will be getting married and then you’ll have grandchildren.
Some wise sage said: The definition of grandchildren is: ‘the reward you get for not killing your own children’. (ha).

Congratulations to the Mrs. In response to your announcement were you complained about staying there, tell the truth you would have missed it for the world. Just remember it will be your daughter who comes home to wipe the drool off your face and say Daddy eat your dinner. As if you didn’t have any thing to do with it.

  7. Congratualtions & best wishes!

  8. Could Christmas get any better than curling with my baby brother and cat, watching the cartoon “Grinch Who Stole Christmas?” I think not.
