It’s summer time and blog readership will be down. So I’m saving my good Excel and Access tricks for later. Right now, I’m continuing my ‘Road of the Excel Bastards’ series.
Today’s Excel Bastard is Ross Mclean!

Ross is the owner of Methods In Excel, an Excel/.NET blog that’s been around since 2005. Ross’ blog is quite popular with the true Excel geeks who relish arguing about whether arrays should start at 0 or 1. Ross is a relatively young 20-something, which makes him strange in that he’d rather be trading thoughts with old programmers instead scouting the pubs for English birds.
Here is my eye-popping interview with Ross Mclean, Excel Guru.
DataPig: What’s your favorite thing in your refrigerator right now?
Ross: Megan Fox
I’m not sure what Ross means. I hope he doesn’t mean this…

DataPig: Red Shirt or Blue?
Ross: Blue…of course

DataPig: How many hats do you have?
Ross: About 20, I’d say, including caps for sports, and helmets.
Ross’ collection of helmets includes this one, which he uses for blogging.

DataPig: Who plays your role in a movie about Excel?
Ross: Jim Carrey, but it might depend on the plot, definitely not Patrick Stewart.
What about Patrick Carrey?

DataPig: Which Superpower do you want: Invisibility, Flight, Strength, or Mind Reading?
Ross: Invisibility

DataPig: What’s the title of your autobiography?
Ross: You should have measured that twice.

DataPig: Who do you like better, Tom or Jerry?
Ross: I’m not keen on either, but Tom at a push.

DataPig: What’s the most important part of the sandwich?
Ross: The size.
Will this do?

DataPig: What’s the Best thing you ever ate?
Ross: I had some carrots in Wales once which were quite amazing, and a steak in Cavos that was fab. If I had to pick one, I think it would be the carrots.
Carrots over steak! What the hell is wrong with you?

DataPig: What’s the Worst thing you ever ate?
Ross: Does humble pie count?
Sure…If you print out this chart and eat it.

Classic, very good!
>>trading thoughts with old programmers instead scouting the pubs for English birds.
I like to do both, sometimes at the same time
Mike…….the latest 3 instalments of the Excel B…. Series had me splits!!!!……… Please keep them coming!
Just how do you get a graphic to match yr comments???? Any tips?? Or just a google search….
>>Carrots over steak! What the hell is wrong with you?
Seriously? Tell him about the steak, Mike…
“Tom or Jerry?” is all vewry well, but shouldn’t we update the question to “Pinky or The Brain?”? Or perhaps “Sheldon or Leonard?” (Big Bang Theory)?
Ooh! “vewry”. Maybe “Elmer or Porky?”
I’m telling you those carrots where first rate…I’d pay serious money to get them again!!
and I was thinking more this kinda thing with Megan:
